Step 1: Planning
This step includes plan selection, site selection and ball park cost projections. Alcovy Builders will help you evaluate house plans and site possibilities, whether on your land or ours. We will help you determine soils conditions for on site sewage management, consider topographical features that may affect house placement, as well as a comparison of your house plan selections and any potential inefficiencies.

Step 2: Cost Estimate
Once a building site and house plan is determined, Alcovy Builders will gather the necessary quotes from our vendors and assemble a detailed line by line cost projection for your home building project. This estimate will be based on the plans, site conditions, & criteria that we have gathered from you regarding interior & exterior finish features, etc.

Construction Agreement
At this stage the property information, house plans, cost estimate, warranty information, etc will be assembled into our construction agreement that will become our contract with you to construct your new home.

Step 4: Permit
As soon as the Construction Agreement is in place, Alcovy will make application to secure the necessary permits for your new home.

Step 5: Construction
This is where the fun begins. Alcovy Builders will start construction on your project when permits are secured and weather cooperates. Building a house with Alcovy Builders takes anywhere from 9-12 months based on the size of the home and site conditions, and sometimes the weather.

Step 6: Design Selections
Alcovy Builders will connect you with our professional home designer to help you make all your finish selections throughout the building process.

Step 7: Orientation
Upon completion of your new home, Alcovy Builders will schedule a final walk through in order to orient you to your new home, its features & recommended maintenance.

Step 8: Warranty
Alcovy Builders is proud to be a member of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA) as well as the GAHBA Certified Professional Home Builders (CPHB). You will be provided a copy of the CPHB Homeowners Handbook which includes very helpful information regarding the care and maintenance of your new home as well as our written one year warranty.
